A few things about me
I graduated in 2005 with a double major in business. I have worked in several different business structures, including: family-owned businesses; one of the most premier hotel chains in the world; a fast growing IT company; and even started my own business. I received an MBA from Rollins College while working full-time with a fast growing IT company, where I was promoted 3 times in 4 years. I believe my strengths are having a strong analytical ability (basically really good with Excel), finding ways to improve my productivity (being salaried encouraged me to get my job done as quick as possible), and figuring out how to stand out (mostly for good things) and get noticed within a company and differentiate my own personal brand.
I will never claim to have all the answers, but I will share my knowledge about moving up in the business world in hopes that I will learn even more from the readers and their input and feedback as we figure out the best ways to move ahead as young professionals.
My view on blogging and other self-help sites. I won't be a self-proclaimed expert just because I chose to write about getting the most value out of a college diploma. I feel that my single-minded view would limit this site and my expertise. I am more concerned about promoting a collective expertise. Don't misunderstand me, I will deliver my information to the best of my ability, but I believe that we can learn something from everybody we interact with during our lives. I hope that this idea will help make this site an expert, not just one person with a limited view trying to force their opinion on others.
Take a minute enjoy the site and help figure out how to make it better. This site is purposely built on a very simple structure with the goal of figuring out how to move it forward once it becomes a viable resource for college graduates.
Once After Diploma begins to develop, I will create a strategy wish-list and start documenting the site as it grows and matures.
